Berchtesgaden (pps) On the occasion of the farewell party given for the retiring Executive Director Hartmut Kardaetz, his successor Christoph Schweiger (aged 45) was given “key authority" for the office at the International Luge Federation, FIL. In a symbolic act FIL President Josef Fendt thus handed Schweiger the keys for the headquarters in Berchtesgaden.

Since July 1st Christoph Schweiger, formerly Secretary General with Austria’s Luge Federation and responsible for the Viessmann Luge World Cup on the Olympic track in Innsbruck-Igls, is already learning the ropes and is getting acquainted with his new range of duty.
