Olympic Secretary Generals meet in Salzburg and visit the FIL Office

Berchtesgaden (BAZ) – Last week, the General Secretaries of the International Olympic Winter Sports Federations met in Salzburg for an exchange of experiences, including the evaluation of the past Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver/Canada.

The group’s speaker Horst Lichtner from Switzerland spoke about a good meeting: „The seven Olympic Winter Sports Federations get along extremely well and always reach fair agreements. This is a lot more difficult for the 28 different summer sports”.

As the meeting was held in close vicinity to Berchtesgaden, the group followed an invitation by FIL President Josef Fendt, who showed the winter sports officials his small, but professional FIL Office.

After a small tour with some explanations on Berchtesgaden, the international group spent the evening on the terrace of the Hotel Edelweiss.
