Andre Lange joins coaching staff of Olympic host nation Korea

PyeongChang (RWH) The most successful bobsleigh pilot of all time is going back to his roots. André Lange (GER), the four-time Olympic Champion in the two and four-man bob who started out as a luger at the tender age of eight, is set to join the coaching staff of the Korean national squad. The news was confirmed in PyeongChang by Korea’s head coach Steffen Sartor, a two-time World Championship silver medallist with doubles partner Steffen Wöller.

Lange, who until recently headed up Germany’s performance centre in Oberhof, also won eight World Championship gold medals in the two-man and four-man bobsleigh, in addition to his four Olympic medals. Lange was in charge of the German team at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, Canada. Steffen Sartor and André Lange have been close friends for many years.
