Austria’s hopefuls Trojer-Knoll announces retirement

Innsbruck (RWH) Austria’s hopefuls David Trojer and Philip Knoll have announced their retirement. The 2016 Junior World Champions now informed the office of the Austrian Luge Federation located at Innsbruck. Due to an injury of david Trojer they are not able to compete in the upcoming season. David Trojer will start academic studies in dentistry. 

Trojer-Knoll won not only gold in doubles competition but also two bronze medals in team relay. At the 2016 Junior European Championships they collected silver medals in doubles competition and in team relay. Due to an injury both were not able to compete at the 2017 World Championships on their home track at Innsbruck-Igls.
