Executive Board to meet in new FIL office for the first time

Berchtesgaden (RWH) The new office of the International Luge Federation (FIL) is about to undergo a baptism of fire. The Executive Board of the World Association is due to meet in the new business premises in Berchtesgaden for the first time from 22 to 24 September. President Josef Fendt has also invited guests to a simple opening ceremony on 22 September.

The focus of the regular autumn meeting will be the forthcoming season, featuring the Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang, Korea, which will be officially opened on 9 February 2018. FIL President Fendt (GER) was recently a guest of the Coordination Commission of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which completed a final tour of inspection of the upcoming Olympic city at the end of August. Fendt and Secretary General Svein Romstad (USA) also attended the 131st IOC Session in Lima, Peru.

The Olympic winter gets underway with the first Viessmann World Cup of the season in Innsbruck on 18/19 November 2017.
