FIL Medal of Honour for Christoph Mauer from Infront

Zug (RWH) Christoph Mauer from the company Infront has become the latest recipient of the International Luge Federation’s Medal of Honour. The award was presented at the company’s headquarters in Zug, Switzerland. Christoph Mauer, Director of Marketing and Media for FIL partner Infront, was the federation’s point of contact for almost 20 years.

The medal was presented by FIL President Josef Fendt at a low-key ceremony, which was also attended by Bruno Marty, Executive Director of Infront, Harald Steyrer, Vice President of Finance at the FIL, and Executive Director Christoph Schweiger. Christoph Mauer is no longer responsible for luge because Infront has transferred this business area to Infront Austria. The Austrian company also handles the international federations for bobsleigh & skeleton (IBSF) and biathlon (IBU).

Christoph Mauer is the third winner of the FIL Medal of Honour, following on from Werner Rabe, former sporting director of broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk, and Michael Winter from Uvex.
