FIL recognises luge museum in Ilmenau as an official partner

Ilmenau (RWH) The International Luge Federation (FIL) has recognised the Schlittenscheune bobsleigh and luge museum in Ilmenau as an official partner and presented the organisation with a certificate to mark the occasion. FIL President Josef Fendt awarded the certificate during a short ceremony in the museum.

The 160 m2 exhibition space tells the story of luge and bobsleigh in Ilmenau from its origins through to the present day. A total of seven Olympic Champions began their careers in Ilmenau. The exhibition in Ilmenau contains 100 historical sleds dating from the 19th century along with training and competition equipment for bobsleigh and luge.
