FIL’s mobile service unit still is use in post-Olympic season

Berchtesgaden (RWH): The International Luge Federation’s (FIL) mobile service unit and its skilled technician are still providing a full range of services in the post-Olympic season. Technician Wolfgang Ros will be at the Viessmann World Cup events in Innsbruck, Königssee, Altenberg and Oberhof, as well as attending the 48th FIL World Championships and the race in St. Moritz. The mobile service unit will be on hand to help at the international junior training week in Oberengadin and the subsequent Junior European Championships and Junior World Cup events.

The FIL’s mobile service unit and its skilled technician are geared primarily towards smaller national associations who are unable to afford to take their own technicians to events. The FIL’s mobile service unit has been very well received in the past, with plenty of teams making the most of the service. The unit performs professional repairs on problematic sleds, thereby helping to boost athlete safety to a significant extent.
