Germany wins the team relay at finale in Altenberg

Altenberg (RWH): The German quartet, who had already been awarded the title of overall winners prior to the final race, went on to win the final race at the Viessmann Team Relay World Cup presented by BMW.  The team, made up of Natalie Geisenberger, Felix Loch and Toni Eggert/Sascha Benecken, celebrated their fourth successive win at the event. Second place went to the team from Latvia, made up of Eliza Cauce, Kristers Aparjods and Andris Sics/Juris Sics. The Russian team of Tatyana Ivanova, Roman Repilov and the doubles team Vladislav Yuzhakov/Iurii Prokhorov won third place.

In the overall standings, Germany (531 points) were followed by Latvia in second place with 405 points. Third place was awarded to Russia with 385 points.
