No new Luge Events to make it into Olympic programme

Lausanne (RWH) No new luge disciplines have made it into the Olympic programme for the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing (CHN). This decision was announced by IOC Sports Director Kit McConnell in Lausanne, following a meeting of the IOC Executive Board.

As a result, the Beijing Games will see medals being awarded in the disciplines of women’s and men’s luge, and men’s doubles, and in the team relay. The total number of participants was reduced from 110 to 106.
