Reinhard Poller to become new CEO of Austria’s Bobsleigh Federation

 Innsbruck (RWH) Reinhard Poller leaves the national Luge Federation of Austria and will be the new CEO of the Austrian Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation ÖBSV. The ÖBSV Executive Board hired the former bobsleigh pilot as of October 1.

The Sports Scientist is Secretary General of the Austian Luge federation since 2010. At the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, the Austrian luge athletes won Gold (David Gleirscher, men’s singles), Silver (Peter Penz/Georg Fischler, men‘s doubles) and Bronze (team relay).

In bobsleigh and skeleton sports, Reinhard Poller kicked-off a youth recruitment program that, amongst others, casted bobsleigh pilot Benjamin Maier (Youth Olympic Games Silver in 2012, European Championships silver in 2016, seventh at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games) and skeleton pilot Janine Flock (2014 and 2016 European Champion, 2015 Overall World Cup Champion, World Championships silver 2016, fourth at the 2018 Winter Olympics).
