Seven races at the World Cup Finale in Sigulda  

Berchtesgaden (RWH): For the first time in an Olympic winter season, four BMW Sprint World Cups are on the agenda for the International Luge Federation next season. Following the Executive Board’s approval of the Sports Commission’s proposal, sprint races for the women’s, men’s and doubles events will now be carried out alongside the four Olympic disciplines (women’s, men’s, doubles and team relay) at the season finale in Sigulda, Latvia January 27, 28, 21018). The three other BMW Sprint World Cups will be held in Calgary (CAN), Lake Placid (USA) and Lillehammer (NOR).

At the remaining six stops on the calendar, the individual events for women, men and doubles will be joined by Viessmann team relay World Cups presented by BMW. These events will be held in Innsbruck (AUT), Winterberg, Altenberg, Königssee and Oberhof (all GER) as well as the final in Sigulda (LAT).
