In preparation for the 57th FIL Congress in Liberec

St. Leonhard (pps) In preparation for the 57th Congress of the International Luge Federation (FIL) on June 19/20, 2009 in Liberec (CZE), the commissions for sport and technical matters artificial and natural track will meet in St. Leonhard near Salzburg on Friday and Saturday, April 3/4, 2009.

According to the statutes of the FIL, changes to the International Luge Regulations (IRO) are only permissible every two years (in even years). This year, the commissions meetings will therefore mainly focus on analyzing the past season.

The agenda will furthermore include the 2009/2010 and 2010/2011 events schedules, bids to host FIL championships as well as current issues relating to athletes’ equipment.
