Ukraine dominates in the Youth Class

Ilmenau (FIL) Johannes Ludwig and Dajana Eitberger (both GER) are the winners of this year’s FIL Summer Cup in Luge, which took place in Ilmenau, Germany, September 2-3.

Johannes Ludwig (GER) won in men’s/juniors, not the least due to his excellent performance at the start, ahead of Sascha Benecken (GER) and the 6th place Olympic finisher in Vancouver 2010, Daniel Pfister (AUT).

Dajana Eitberger, the local heroine, won in women’s/juniors ahead of the Germans, Johanna Hodermann and Maria Naß.

The young Ukrainian athletes delivered top performance: Anton Dukach (1st place), Pavlo Ternovy (2nd place) and Anatoliy Lehedza (3rd place) were unbeatable in the Youth A Class.

In the women of Youth A, Sarah Oberhöller from Austria won ahead of Anna Sophie Falch and Miriam Gstalder (both GER).
