Lake Placid (pps) 2009 World Champion Erin Hamlin, along with the doubles team of Christian Niccum and Jayson Terdiman, are among those named to the fall 2012 USA Luge National Team. 2010 Olympian Chris Mazdzer will lead the charge for the men’s squad.

Hamlin, a two-time Olympian and World Cup medalist last season, will be joined by her 2010 Olympic teammate Julia Clukey, Kate Hansen and Emily Sweeney.

Niccum-Terdiman, ranked seventh in last season’s overall World Cup, will return to the team, joined by Matt Mortensen-Preston Griffall and Jake Hyrns-Andrew Sherk. Chris Mazdzer will return to the team after spending the first half of last season focusing on sled and race equipment development. Mazdzer will be joined by two youngsters: Taylor Morris and Isaac Underwood.
