Oberhof (pps) Last winter, Oberhof hosted the 40th FIL Luge World Championships. This is why the artificial track in Thuringia did not organise a Viessmann Luge World Cup event last season. Therefore, last year’s winners are the current World champions Tatjana Huefner, Felix Loch and André Florschuetz-Torsten Wustlich (all Germany). Germany took nine of ten possible medals. Only former World champions Tobias Schiegl-Markus Schiegl of Austria were able to put a dent into Germany’s dominance, winning bronze in the double-seater. Additionally, Austria and Latvia won silver and bronze in the FIL Team Relay.
