Riga (pps) Latvia’s capital Riga will host its first Congress of the International Luge Federation (FIL). At the 60th FIL Annual Meeting on June 15-16, 2012, not only FIL President Josef Fendt and Secretary General Svein Romstad will present their reports. On the agenda are, first of all, motions with regard to the statutes and the International Luge Regulations (IRO).

Additionally, a new Chairman for the Sports Commission Natural Track will be elected since the previous office holder, Oliver Rowold of Germany, has resigned. Moreover, a successor to the late Christos Chatziathanasiou as substitute member within the Control Commission needs to be appointed.

Last but not least numerous FIL Championships will be awarded.
