| 60th FIL Congress in Riga | |
Medal of honour in bronze for Olympic champion Kurt Brugger
Riga (pps) At the 60th Congress of the International Luge Federation in Riga, Kurt Brugger, Olympic champion in the doubles with Wilfried Huber at the 1994 Winter Games in Lillehammer and currently acting as coach in Italy, was awarded the medal of honour in bronze. Dietmar Pirhofer, long-time physiotherapist of Italy’s national team, and Karl Mitterrutzer, natural luge coach in Italy, received the same awards.
Tsung-Yuan Lian, since 1974 in a leading position within Taipei’s Luge Federation, was awarded the medal of honour in silver in Latvia’s capital.
