Russia most successful federation with two gold medals

Paramonovo (pps) Four different federations claimed medals at the 43rd European Championships of the International Luge Federation (FIL) in Paramonovo (Russia). The hosts were the most successful federation with two gold medals by Tatiana Ivanova in the women’s singles and in the Team Relay Event. Germany collected seven medals, but only one gold medal thanks to Andi Langenhan in the men’s singles. Austria won gold in the doubles, Italy earned silver thanks to Armin Zoeggeler in the men’s singles and bronze in the Team Relay Event.
