Last year, Italy’s 2002 Olympic champion Armin Zoeggeler won the men’s event, while Oberhof local Silke Kraushaar was victorious in the women’s race. She thus won six of the seven competitions at Oberhof (World Cup and 1998 and 2004 European Championships).
