Salzburg (pps) The 2006/2007 post-Olympic season was the main focus of a meeting of representatives of the International Luge Federation (FIL) with organizers of Viessmann World Cups and SUZUKI Challenge Cup events. In addition to field reports on the Olympic season, the agenda of the traditional meeting in Salzburg, which was also attended by FIL President Josef Fendt, included a preview to the events in the upcoming winter.

Besides the World Championships in Igls (AUT), the events schedule includes nine Viessmann World Cups (Cesana/ ITA, Park City /USA, Calgary/CAN, Nagano/ JPN, Königssee/ GER, Oberhof/ GER, Altenberg/ GER, Winterberg/ GER and Sigulda/ LAT). With ten World Cups, a greater number of events was only staged in the winter of 1994/1995, even if at that time with two double events in Calgary and Igls.

During the well-attended meeting, event organizers received information on changes to the International Luge Regulations (IRO), on schedules, television matters, press work, evaluation criteria, FIL accreditations as well as data and graphics service.
