2017 Luge World Championships go live online

Innsbruck (RWH)  The 48th International Luge Federation (FIL) World Championships set to take place in Innsbruck in 2017 already have a presence on social media. The complete website at www.rodelwm17.at has been active since June, as has the Facebook page www.Facebook.com/rodelwm17. Other social media channels are currently in development and will be added at a later date.

The artificial ice track at the foot of the Patscherkofel will host the main event of the luge season from 27 to 29 January 2017. The labyrinthine ice track was built in 1976 in the run-up to the Winter Olympics and has previously hosted the World Championships in 1987, 1997 and 2007.
