2018 Olympics discussed in commissions meetings

St. Leonhard (RWH) The forthcoming 2018 Winter Olympic Games were discussed at the meetings of the expert commissions of the International Luge Federation (FIL). At the meetings in St. Leonhard in Salzburg, Austria, the commissions also drew up a proposal in relation to the composition of the jury for the luge competitions in PyeongChang, which will be submitted to the Executive Board. The Winter Games are due to take place in Korea from 9 to 25 February 2018.

President Josef Fendt opened the meeting by asking commission members to put forward proposals and visions for the future development of the FIL.

The Sport and Technical Commissions Artificial Track and the Natural Track Commission met in St. Leonhard. As is always the case ahead of an Olympic winter season, no amendments can be made to the International Luge Regulations (IRO) when the 65th Congress convenes in Constanța, Romania.
