Ljubljana (RWH): The International Luge Federation’s milestone World Championships will be held in Whistler, Canada. Participants at the 67th Congress approved the decision to relocate the 50th FIL World Championships, due to be held in 2021, from Calgary to the Olympic track. This will mark the second time that Whistler has hosted the title races after it hosted its first event in 2013.

Luge Canada requested for the 2021 FIL Luge World Championships to be moved to Whistler after the operator of the facilities in Calgary, WinSport, failed to confirm that the planned conversions and updates to the track would be ready in time.
