27 nations at the 47th FIL World Championships in Innsbruck

Innsbruck (RWH) FIL Sports Director Maria Luise Rainer (ITA) has confirmed that 27 nations have registered to compete in the 47th World Championships of the International Luge Federation (FIL) in Innsbruck. A total of 52 men, 45 women, 27 doubles pairings, and up to 15 relay teams will battle it out for medals in the four Olympic disciplines and three sprint competitions from 27-29 January 2017.
The nations in alphabetical order according to the official country abbreviations used by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) are Argentina (ARG), Australia (AUS), Bulgaria (BUL), Canada (CAN), Croatia (CRO), Czech Republic (CZE), Finland (FIN), Germany (GER), India (IND), Italy (ITA), Kazakhstan (KAZ), South Korea (KOR), Latvia (LAT), Moldova (MDA), Norway (NOR), Poland (POL), Romania (ROU), Russia (RUS), Slovenia (SLO), Switzerland (SUI), Slovakia (SVK), Sweden (SWE), Chinese Taipei (TPE), Ukraine (UKR), United States of America (USA), and host nation Austria (AUT).
