Just in time for the second World Cup race winter arrived in Austria. World Cup coordinator Herbert Wurzer was proved right when he said that there was no reason to worry, two days of cold weather would be enough to guarantee a well prepared track.
So, now with snow all over the country, there is no problem and the luge family can move to Umhausen and look forward to a great race. A race in which the Austrian former World Champion Gerald Kallan finds himself in the role of the World Cup leader for the first time in his carreer. But all time stars Gerhard Pilz and Ferdinand Hirzegger (both Austria) will definitely give Kallan a hard time and it will be an exciting weekend in Tyrol.
