Sigulda. Markus Prock, Sylke Otto and Patric Leitner/Alexander Resch have won the Krombacher Challenge Cup at Sigulda (Latvia). Austria`s former World Champion Prock (49,666 sconds) came in ahead of his teammate Rainer Margreiter (49,835). Third place went to Italy`s World Champion Armin Zöggeler (49,870).World Champion Sylke Otto won in a time of 43,451 seconds in front of Olympic Champion Silke Kraushaar (43,470) and Iluta Gaile (43,721) from Latvia. In the doubles competition, Germany`s former World Champion Patric Leitner/Alexander Resch (43,300 seconds) were in the lead followed by Austria`s Tobias and Markus Schiegl (43,344) and Mark Grimmette/Brian Martin (43,466) from the USA. Now, only Germany`s Olympic Champion Georg Hackl and Leitner Resch are still able to catch the small jackpot of $ 10.000, but both have to win the final in Winterberg on January 25.
