Quotes:
Reinhold Rainer (Italy):
„I can not believe this success. There I have to get 30-years old to win finally a World Cup race. Even I don`t like this track. Many didn`t count on me, but my coaches have always believed in me and I did as well.”
Denis Geppert (Germany / Silver medalist at the Europeans 2002):
„Second place, best german athlete – obviously I was in top conditions today. My coaches put me under pressure before the start of the season: I have always to be third best of the german team. Only in Sigulda I missed. But now I hope, there will be no more discussions.“
Tony Benshoof (USA/ Leader of Krombacher Challenge Cup):
“I was just in a position to win today. But make no mistake about it. I`m pleased with my result. Everyone of these guys is a great competitor, and for me right up there with them is a wonderful feeling.”
