Winterberg, Germany (pps) Before the third of altogether four Suzuki Challenge Cup events at Igls, Austria, the only Germans in the lead were the World silver medallist doubles, André Florschuetz and Torsten Wustlich. After Igls, the Germans have regained their usual supremacy: 2001 World champion Silke Kraushaar is in top position in the women’s competition, and reigning World champion David Moeller in the men’s event before the final at Winterberg, Germany, on Friday, January 21, 2005, at 11:30 hrs CET. Moeller achieved the lead at Igls thanks to his victory over Switzerland’s Stefan Hoehener, first Swiss ever to make the final. Silke Kraushaar celebrated her second win of the season since the World Cup opener at Altenberg, Germany, on the 1976 Olympic track she does not like much. And Florschuetz-Wustlich continued to remain undefeated in the Suzuki Challenge Cup in this pre-Olympic winter.

While prize money is being paid for the individual wins in the Suzuki Challenge Cup, there is no prize money at stake for the overall victory.
