Quotes
Armin Zoeggeler (ITA / 2010 and 2006 Olympic Champion, record World
Champion)
“To be quite honest – before the race I’ve toyed a bit with the idea of a podium finish. But it’s really a big surprise that I achieved to claim the top stop in the end. My first run was absolutely perfect and in the second I tried to be more cautious. I couldn’t have done better.
The track in Park City is one of my favorites because it’s not the start here that is important. It’s the sliding.”
Chris Mazdzer (USA / sixth place at the 2013 Worlds and Olympic Games)
“That’s awesome. Well, it’s fun playing the dark horse role. It’s really nice to attack from the back and to make life difficult for the favorites. My shoulder injury doesn’t affect me any more.”
Wolfgang Kindl (AUT / 2008 World Junior Champion, eighth place at the
2013 Worlds, ninth place at the Olympic Games)
„I’m speechless. This is the best result ever of my career. During the training runs, nothing really worked out and this is why I never would have reckoned with such a result. This is a very special moment for me.”
