Altenberg (pps) Due to a new track record Germany`s Olympic Champions Patric Leitner/Alexander Resch won the Viessmann Luge World Cup in Lilleham-mer/Norway. They clocked the second run in 47,829 second and took the lead in one Minute 35,834 seconds followed by USA`s Mark Grimmette/Brian Martin (1:36,847) and the Germany`s World Champions Andre Florschütz/Torsten Wustlich (1:36,253).
LeitnerResch are leading the overall standings with 404 points followed by Grimmette/Martin (360) and Austria`s Andreas Linger/Wolfgang Linger (312).
The old track record was held by Germany`s Stefan Krauße/Jan Behrendt (47,929 Sekunden) clocked eight years ago at the World Championships at Lillehammer.
