The silver medalists of the past two World Championships realized their victory in 1:23,557 minutes followed by Italy´s Kurt Brugger/Wilfried Huber(1:23,749) and Christian Oberstolz/Christian Gruber (1:23,857). Due to their fourth place, Germany`s Patric Leitner/AlexanderResch (1:23,872) won the Three-Track-Tournament with 245 points followed by Skel/Wöller (240) and Brugger/Huber(195). Leitner/Resch are still in the lead in the overall World Cup standings with 345 points followed by Skel/Wöller (295) and Brugger/Huber (287). The best result for the USA was the fifth place of Mark Grimmette/Brian Martin (1:24,013). The silver medallist at the 1998 European Championships realized his second victory in the World Cup series in a total time of 1:29,456 minutens followed by his team-mates David Möller(1:29,518) and Denis Geppert (1:29,624). Germany`s three-time Olympic Champion Georg Hackl came in only on ninth place (1.30,152), but won the Three-Track-Tournament with 234 points ahead of Albert (225) and Austria´s Markus Prock (205). Italy´s World Champion Armin Zöggeler is now in the lead of the Viessmann Luge World Cup overall standings with 350 points, followed by Prock (345) and Hackl (339). The best result for the USA was the tenth place of Adam Heidt (1:30165).
