Berchtesgaden – The Sport Commissions and Technical Commissions in Artificial Track and Natural Track of the International Luge Federation (FIL) met last weekend at the Convention Hall in Berchtesgaden. About 60 participants from 18 nations were present. The representatives of the Expert Commissions made a positive review of the 2003/2004 season.

Main issue of the meetings was the preparation of the Congress resolutions in view of the Congress in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in mid-June. The rules for modernizing the sport of luge among other things, through making shorter events, qualifying and upgrading the Nations Cups should be passed at the Congress.

The President of the International Luge Federation, Josef Fendt from Berchtesgaden, confirmed that all participants at the meetings worked hard and with expert knowledge. President J. Fendt especially thanked the officials working as volunteers and expressed his wish that the Congress in Rio will support the modernization process.
