Innsbruck/Igls. Superior victory for Georg Hackl in the sixth and last but one race to the Viessmann Luge Worldcup in Innsbruck-Igls. On the Bob- Luge- and Skeleton-track, Germany’s three times Olympic Champion in a total time of 1:39,682 minutes and an advantage of more than half a second came on first rank.
On second place on his home track came Worldcup-Leader Markus Kleinheinz from Austria (1:40,240), followed by Russia’s Albert Demtschenko (1:40,359).

With his second rank, Markus Kleinheinz defended the leadership in the overall Worldcup with now 525 Points. After his victory in Igls, also Georg Hackl on second rank (490) improved his chances for the third win of the Worldcup in his luge-carreer. Third in Viessmann Luge Worldcup is Italian’s Olympic Champion Armin Zöggeler (402), who was sixth in Innsbruck-Igls.
