A Warm Partnership with a Future

Weng im Innkreis, 7 July 2026 – Biomass specialist Hargassner Heiztechnik and the International Luge Federation (FIL) are continuing their successful partnership on a long-term basis. At a joint meeting at Hargassner's company headquarters, the Energy World in Weng im Innkreis, Hargassner and FIL President Einars Fogelis, FIL Vice President Marketing Thomas Schwab and FIL Sports Director Matthias Böhmer signed the corresponding agreement, extending the cooperation by a further four years through to the end of the 2029/30 season. With the upcoming 2026/27 World Cup season, the collaboration is already entering its fifth year.

In addition to the official contract signing, the focus was firmly on the future. Both parties discussed new ideas and activations for the coming World Cup seasons. The long-term agreement provides planning security for both partners and underlines the mutual trust that has grown over recent years.

International luge provides a strong stage for our brand and gives Hargassner visibility on an international level. At the same time, much more than a sponsorship partnership has developed over the years – the personal exchange within a truly lived luge family is what makes this collaboration so special. We are all the more excited about the many World Cup events we will share together in the winters ahead," said Markus and Anton Hargassner in a joint statement.

Hargassner has been a main sponsor of the FIL World Cup series since 2021, accompanying international luge racing at all major events. The partnership covers all FIL World Cup competitions as well as European and World Championships, giving the company a regular presence on an international stage and reaching winter sports fans well beyond Europe.

The connection between Hargassner and the FIL goes beyond classic sponsorship deliverables.
