As already attached in the FIL Bulletin No. 56 dated April 30, 2013 we would like to inform you again about the Advertisement Technical Director Artificial Track. Advertisement Technical Director Artificial Track The International Luge Federation is seeking to appoint a professional for the newly created position of Technical Director, Artificial Track (TDIR AT). Main Tasks: As the TDIR AT of the FIL, you would be present at all World Cups of the General Class and the Championships of the FIL and act as a controlling body. You would ensure the uniform interpretation of the International Luge Regulations (IRO) at these competitions and work closely with the Sport Director. You would check the camera positions as well as the mounting of the advertising panels in compliance with the safety of the athletes. In addition, you would be responsible for inspecting the track preparation, amongst other things. You would be the primary point of contact for the National Federations and organizers of FIL events in all technical questions. Furthermore, as the TDIR AT, you would work in cooperation with the Vice President Technical Matters, Artificial Track, your functional superior, as well as serving as the vice-chairman, preparing the content for the Technical Commission Meeting, Artificial Track and especially for the preparation of IRO proposals in your area of expertise. You also would work very closely with the Track Construction Commission of the FIL. We expect: For the position of TDIR AT, we are looking for someone who distinguishes himself/herself through their technical understanding and readiness of mind. You are a flexible person, who possesses excellent social, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent German and English skills (both spoken and written), as well as strong computer skills (MS Office) are also required. You are familiar with the modern modes of communication. A high degree of interest in sports is essential. Experience in the sport of luge, especially in the technical area, is indispensable in order to fulfil your duties. We offer an interesting and varied position in an international Olympic sports federation from about 9 months (October- June) per calendar year. After a training period during the 2013/14 season, the work in the advertised position will be on a fee basis starting on April 1st, 2014.
