Meransen/South Tyrol (RWH) Germany’s Aileen Frisch and local heroes Dominik Fischnaller and Ludwig Rieder/Patrick Rastner are the winners of the traditional start competition in Meransen/South Tyrol.

In women’s race second place behind reigning Under 23 World Champion Frisch went to Emiliy Sweeney from USA followed by Birgit Platzer from Austria. In men’s competition Dominik Fischnaller, who finished 6th at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi (Russia), won in front of his teammate Ludwig Rieder and Wolfgang Kindl from Austria. Ludwig Rieder - Patrick Rastner captured victory in double’s race followed by their teammates Christian Oberstolz-Patrick Gruber and Florian Gruber-Simon Kainzwalder, the 2012 Youth Olympic Champions.
