Sochi (pps) Germany’s Aileen Frisch, Gregory Carigiet from Switzerland and Tristan Walker/Justin Snith are the winners of the Nationscup at Sochi.
At “Sliding Center Sanki”, the up-coming track for the Winter Olympic Games 2014, the former Junior World Champion Frisch sent her teammate Carina Schwab and former European Champion Tatyana Ivanova from host Russia to second and third place. In men’s race Carigiet won in front of Italy’s Dominik Fischnaller, the reigning Junior World Champion, and Reinhard Egger from Austria. Canada’s Tristan Walker/Justin Walker grapped the victory followed by Russia’s Vladislav Yuzhakov/Vladimir Makhnutin and Oskars Gudramovics/Peteris Kainins from Latvia.
