Aileen Frisch

Berchtesgaden (RWH) Despite recently sustaining a broken leg, Aileen Frisch, who now competes for Korea, hopes to participate in the international training week (ITW) on the track which will be used for the forthcoming Olympics in PyeongChang, Korea. The 25-year-old, who was granted Korean citizenship in December 2016, bumped the boards while training with the Korean Olympic team in the Alpensia Sliding Centre and inured her left foot, according to her own account. Team-mate Eunju Choi broke in the same training session two toe, but she is like Frisch on the starting list of the ITW.

Frisch, the U23 World Champion for Germany in 2013, has since undergone surgery in Berchtesgaden. The ITW takes place from 2 to 11 November 2017 and is the last training session ahead of the Olympic Winter Games (9 - 25 February 2018).
