Moscow (pps) Olympic runner-up Albert Demchenko will be heading the Russian team for the XXI Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, Canada (February 12-28, 2010). The Russian Federation will send a total of ten athletes - their full quota - to the Olympic luge events at the „Whistler Sliding Center“.
Apart from 2006 European champion Demchenko, there are Viktor Kneib and Stepan Federov in the men's singles, Alexandra Rodionova, Tatjana Ivanova as well as Natalia Khoreva in the women's singles. In the doubles' events the host of the 2014 Olympic Games will be represented by Vladislav Yuzhakov-Vladimir Makhnutin and Mikhail Kuzmich-Boris Kuryshkin.
