Whistler (RWH) Australia’s Alex Ferlazzo has written a small chapter of luge history. The 19-year-old student from Black River, Queensland, won the Junior World Cup in Whistler (CAN) and is the first ever athlete from his continent to take home victory in an International Luge Federation (FIL) race. Ferlazzo finished the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi (RUS) in 33rd, and came 19th in the 2012 Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck (AUT).
