Berchtesgaden (pps) Josef Fendt (Germany), the President of the International Luge Federation (FIL), and Bob Storey (Canada), President of the International Bobsleigh Federation (FIBT) as well as representatives of the Organizing Committee for the 2006 Olympic Winter Games have agreed on the required modification of the Olympic track in Turin. The agreement was reached during a summit meeting held on the occasion of the FIBT Congress in Berchtesgaden.

According to information from the Olympic Organizing Committee in Turin, the works on curves 17 and 18 of the artificially–refrigerated track in Cesana Pariol are planned to be finished by October. The track is expected to be homologated again on October 29/30. In November, the required Olympic test is scheduled to be staged as a World Cup.
