Five National Luge Federations with at least one World Cup victory
Sigulda (pps) Already prior to the start of the Viessmann Luge World Cup final in Sigulda, Latvia, next weekend, five national luge federations have been able to celebrate at least one World Cup victory during the post-Olympic season.
After the fantastic success of Canadian Alex Gough, who ended the winning series of Germany’s women lugers after 105 successive victories in Russia’s Paramonovo and the victory of Russia’s Albert Demchenko in the men’s singles, there are the federations of Canada, Germany, Italy, Austria and Russia with at least one World Cup victory.
USA Luge and Latvia have also posted at least one podium finish each.
