America-Pacific Championships awarded to Calgary

Berchtesgaden (RWH) The America-Pacific Championships of the International Luge Federation (FIL) – the counterpart to the FIL European Championships – will take place in Calgary, Alberta, during the Olympic winter season. The titles will be awarded using the race-in-race format during the fourth Viessmann World Cup of the season on 8-9 December 2017. The FIL executive took this decision on the basis of a proposal by the Sport Commission.

In the 2016/2017 winter, Erin Hamlin, Tucker West and Matthew Mortensen/Jayson Terdiman (USA) won the America-Pacific Championships in Park City (USA).

The medals at the FIL European Championships in the 2017/2018 winter season will be awarded during the final round of the Viessmann World Cup in Sigulda, Latvia.
