On the upcoming Olympic track in Cesana Pariol for die Winter games in Turin Anastasia Oberstolz-Antonova (Italy), Tony Benshoof (USA) and An-dreas Linger/Wolfgang Linger (Austria) moved up to the first Suzuki Challenge Cup Winners. In the women’s finale Anastasia Oberstolz-Antonova beat Silke Kraushaar (Germany), the Olympic Champion from 1998. Third place went to Courtney Zablocki. The men’s finale was won by Tony Benshoof defeating Russia’s Albert Demtschenko. Italy’s Olympic Champion Armin Zöggeler took the Bronze. In doubles Austria’s Linger/Linger won the finale vs. Gerhard Plankensteiner/Oswald Haselrieder. Third place went to World Champions Andre Florschütz/Torsten Wustlich (GER).
