Andrea Vötter Winner of Nationscup

Innsbruck (RWH) While Italy’s Andrea Vötter won the Nationscup at Innsbruck-Igls, her team-mate Nina Zöggeler realized her first ever qualification for the Viessmann Luge World Cup. The 16 year old daughter of Armin Zöggeler, who won six gold medals at luge world championships, finished on ninth place and can celebrate her debut in Viessmann Luge World Cup on Saturday. Winner in men’s race was Russia’s Stepan Fedorov, in doubles Austria’s Peter Penz-Georg Fischler took home victory.
Andrea Vötter was followed by Germany’s Jessica Tiebel. As an additional starter of the German Team the reigning Junior World Champion is not allowed to compete in World Cup race on Saturday. Third place went to Ulla Zirne from Latvia. In men’s race local hero Nico Gleirscher finished on second place, third place went to Kevin Fischnaller from Italy.
