Winterberg (pps) The two-time World Champion Felix Loch is leading the German squad for the Viessmann World Cups in the 2009/2010 Olympic season. After the national championships in Winterberg, the head coach of the German federation Norbert Loch named four other men in addition to his son as well as four women and three doubles to compete at the first Viessmann World Cup event in Calgary, Canada on November 20/21, 2009.
The 20 year-old Loch successfully defended his title in men’s singles. For Anke Wischnewski, it was the first national championships title. In doubles, the current runner-up World Champions André Florschütz/Torsten Wustlich captured the crown.
In addition to Loch, the two-time World Champion David Möller, Johannes Ludwig, Jan Eichhorn and Andi Langenhan were nominated in men’s singles. In women’s singles, next to Wischnewski, the two-time runner-up World Champion Natalie Geisenberger, the two-time World Champion Tatjana Hüfner as well as Corinna Martini will represent the German colors. In doubles, besides Florschütz/Wustlich, Norbert Loch also appointed the 2002 Olympic champions Patric Leitner/Alexander Resch and the silver medalists at the 2008 World Championships Tobias Wendl/Tobias Arlt.
