Announcement: 30th Gitschberg Start Cup Meransen

Meransen (FIL/28 July 2023) On August 25 and 26, the International Gitschberg Luge Start Cup will be held for the 30th time in Meransen (ITA).

For many European artificial track luge athletes, the traditional ice-start competition of the Gitschberg Sports Club in South Tyrol has been a fixed date in the season preparation calendar for many years. The Italian national team is always present at the start cup in Meransen and uses the local ice for an intensive training week in South Tyrol.

The schedule is as follows:

FRIDAY 25.08.2023

08.00 - 15.00 Free training in groups
18.00 - 21.00 free training in groups

SATURDAY 26.08.2023

08.30 - 11.00 a.m. Start junior women, men and doubles
11.30 - 13.00 Start of the Senior Women, Men and Doubles
