Calgary (pps) Italy’s Armin Zöggeler achieved his 8th overall Victory in Viessmann Luge World Cup. Celebrating his 45th individual Success at Calgary (CAN) the 35 Year old Italian can’t be caught in the overall standings. With this success Zöggeler walks in the footprints of record winner Markus Prock from Austria, who won ten times the Viessmann Luge World Cup.
At Calgary Zöggeler won in a total time of one minute 30.375 seconds followed by Germany’s two time World Champion Felix Loch (0,315 seconds back) and Russia’s Albert Demtschenko (0,421 back). Adam Rosen from Great Britain finished on 6th place followed by Bengt Walden (0,898 back) from USA. It was the best result ever for Rosen.
In the overall standings Zöggeler leads with 701 points followed by Germany’s David Möller (559), who finished just on 11th place at Calgary. On third place is Jan Eichhorn (460) from Germany.
