Quotes:

Armin Zöggeler (ITA) (Olympic Champion 2002, four times Wold Champion):
„The key to success were two constant runs. The conditions were difficult and I am pleased, that I have won here. The World Championship in Nagano is a complete different race. In the weeks until then can happen a lot. My aim is clear – I want a medal.”

David Möller (GER) (two times Junior World Champion):
„That is a big thing. To become Vice-European-Champion on my home track is the best. I want to thank the fans for the great support. For the coming World Cup races and the World Championships I can be cool, I have reached more than expected. I don’t know the track in Nagano, so I have to wait what is happening.”

Jaroslaw Slavik (SVK) (Second Goodwill Games 2000):
„I am totally happy. I have never thought about winning the bronze medal, because the training was not very good. The second place at the Goodwill Games was my best result until today, but this third place is more valuable.”
